Walking Distance

It is in Gasabo District, right on the border of Nyarutarama and Remera. This is one of Kigali’s prime upscale and secure neighborhoods. You practically neighbor Rwanda Development Board (RDB) and Tanzanian High Commission. The iconic dome of Kigali Convention Centre (KCC), that lights up at night, visible from most rooms, is less than a 5 minutes’ drive away.

This area is calmer compared to the madness of the downtown commercial district (CBD) but very well connected. The road outside (KG 9 Ave) is paved and lit, therefore making it easy for any "moto" (motorcycle taxi) or even a cab to be hailed here. For dining options besides its own restaurant, Kigali Heights and KBC office towers host several cafes, restaurants such as Java House among others shops within walking distance from here. You are also not far from Simba Supermarket in Gishushu though normally Dmall supermarket within this premises suffices.

The neighborhood is busy with offices and shops during the day, then becomes quiet at night. The casino inside the building adds some late-night activity to the building, but not to the street or area as a whole. This is not a place for "walking around to see sights" in any traditional sense of that idea, but it is an incredibly practical node for getting work done.
